Together with ScienceForBrain, led by Prof. Arminas Ragauskas, we collaboratively developed a groundbreaking invention—a non-invasive intracranial pulse wave monitoring device. Designed for critical clinical settings such as open-heart surgeries and neuro-intensive care units, the device enables real-time monitoring and allows for immediate precautions to protect neurons, contributing to the future of personalized medicine.
Our involvement extended beyond product development—from MVP to a fully functional prototype—supporting clinical trials with a series of 3D-printed test models. The main challenge was integrating highly diverse materials (distilled water, ultra-thin latex-free film, clear and opaque water-tight plastics, electronics, and precision sensors) into a sterile medical environment while adapting to the complexities of human anatomy.
The design language is based on simple, unobtrusive forms, balancing geometric and organic elements. The device consists of a reusable unit with integrated electronics and sensors, along with disposable eyecups designed for hygiene and efficiency. An adjustable nose bridge allows for a customized fit, while intuitive buckle clips provide a secure attachment, aligning with standard medical practices.
To ensure a cohesive brand presence, we also designed the company’s visual identity.
